Improving effectiveness in warning communication

Launched in response to the rising frequency and intensity of climate change-related disasters, AlertHub brings together researchers and practitioners to foster collaboration, identify best practices, and create innovative formats for knowledge exchange across Europe. Its core mission is to improve the effectiveness of warning communication to better protect the public and support disaster response efforts.

To achieve this, the network will develop an open-access knowledge platform covering warning systems, relevant legal and political frameworks, and communication challenges to support stakeholders from across Europe in identifying valuable insights. AlertHub will equally be invested in identifying best practices and governance recommendations for effective warning communication, and creating new formats for knowledge exchange and networking between all interested parties.
